DOWNTOWN BRENHAM ENJOYS ANOTHER TEXAS ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Downtown Brenham was filled with art, shopping and entertainment this past weekend for the 8th Annual Texas Arts & Music Festival.

Guests were able to find a unique assortment of goods while browsing through vendors and young entrepreneurs, enjoy live music from a varied group of performers, and admire artists as they brought their visions to life.
Festival board member Brooke Trahan called the response to this festival “fantastic.”
Downtown’s newest mural, painted by Houston-based visual artist Tyler Kay, is a display of spring bluebonnets. It is located in between the tiger eye and armadillo murals on the wall of the Commerce Street parking lot.
During the festival, the Plein Air Painting Society painted and captured scenes of downtown. There were also musical performances from the Brenham Children’s Chorus, Brenham’s Nite Moves Band and Reverend Horton Heat.
Trahan thanks all of the volunteers and organizations that work to make this event possible year in and year out.
Each year, the free festival raises money to contribute toward local students and art programs.
