CHANGES TO BLINN WOMEN SOCCER PLAYOFF MATCH

The Blinn College women's soccer team will now play their Region XIV Tournament first-round match at 1:30 p.m.  (today) Friday, on Field 13 at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.

The complex is located at 3101 Harvey Road in College Station, Texas.

The change was made due to a weekend of inclement weather. The Buccaneers, the top seed out of the Region XIV South Division, originally were scheduled to host Trinity Valley Community College in Brenham, Texas.

Blinn is the second overall seed in the bracket and earned the right to host a home playoff game for the second time in program history, but both matchups have now been moved to Veterans Park due to weather. In 2021, the Bucs hosted Northeast Texas Community College in the opening round of the region tournament, and following the site switch to College Station, earned their first playoff victory with a 2-0 triumph.

Should Blinn advance past Trinity Valley, its semifinal matchup also will be played on Field 8 at Veterans Park on Sunday, Oct. 29. The Bucs will face the winner of the Jacksonville College-Navarro College first-round bout.
