FEMALE SUSPECT INDICT FOR MURDER IN BRAZOS COUNTY
A Brazos County Grand Jury has returned a murder indictment against a woman, who authorities accuse of planning a Bryan man’s death back in August.
20-year-old Nariah Francis Reeves was arrested on charges of murder, theft of a firearm, and burglary of a habitation.
Back on August 2, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a deceased person on Pleasant Hill Road.
Investigators arrived on the scene to find the body of 41-year-old Brandon Hall.
According to a press release, the Sheriff’s Office, with the help of several agencies, obtained information that led to a Brenham residence.
A search warrant was obtained for the premises, and evidence was discovered linking Reeves and a juvenile to Hall’s death.
The juvenile was arrested within 48 hours, and Reeves was taken into custody on August 14 in Hearne.
During an interview with investigators, Reeves tried to claim the shooting was an accident.
However, according to the Sheriff’s Office, when they confronted her with text messages that allege she and the juvenile plotted to murder Hall and rob him of his money and guns, Reeves confessed to the crime.
They also had surveillance video of Reeves and the juvenile breaking into Hall’s home and stealing a firearm.
Reeves was taken to the Brazos County Jail where bond for the three charges was set at a combined $400,000.
