WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO MEET TUESDAY

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will hold its next meeting on Tuesday.

Among the board’s business will include consideration of appointments to the agricultural advisory board, which advises the chief appraiser on the valuation and use of agricultural land.  A minimum of three appointed members serve for staggered terms of two years and meet at least once per year.

The next item will be a contract with Eagleview for aerial imagery services.  The appraisal district has contracted with Eagleview, formerly known as Pictometry, since 2009 for aerial imagery.  The cost of the new contract would be $61,446 annually.

After that, the board will review results of the Methods and Assistance Program (MAP) 2022 report from the Texas Comptroller’s Office.  There will then be standard monthly reports and possible action to move the December board meeting up from December 26th to December 19th, due to the Christmas holiday.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Washington County Appraisal District Office, 1301 Niebuhr Street in Brenham.

  1. Can anyone explain why we are receiving a second tax bill (2023 Corrected Tax notice ) stating that school taxes that were frozen have increased and we now owe extra taxes.??
