BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO RECEIVE ‘DETAILED’ BOND UPDATE

  

A thorough report on the status of Burton ISD’s bond project will lead Monday’s agenda for the Burton School Board.

Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy says the update to be presented will be “very detailed”, as the district is working on an “aggressive” timeline to get key facility improvements done before the next school year starts. 

The superintendent’s yearly evaluation, contract and salary will also be taken up by trustees, albeit in executive session.  Any action will be taken when the board reconvenes in open session.

Other business will include a public hearing to discuss the district and campus 2022-23 Texas Academic Performance Reports, monthly administrative updates and a presentation from the participants in the Beta Club State Convention.

The board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the Burton High School auditorium.
