MEMORIAL ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED FOR DESIGN II OWNER, COMMUNITY ADVOCATE DAVID FOLSCHINSKY

  

Memorial arrangements have been announced for the long-time owner of a Brenham catering business and strong community supporter.

David Folschinsky passed away unexpectedly on January 11^th at the age of 69.

Folschinsky owned and operated Design II, which serviced countless public and private events for over 35 years.

Folschinsky also was a champion for many nonprofit organizations like the Heritage Society of Washington County, American Cancer Society & Relay for Life, Brenham Maifest Association, Washington County Fair and Unity Theatre, along with many area churches and school functions.

Folschinksy served as a trustee for the Baylor Scott & White Foundation-Brenham and the Brenham Children’s Chorus, and as a director for the Burton Cotton Gin.  In 2009, he was named the recipient of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham.
