BURTON BASKETBALL TO HOST MUMFORD

The Burton Panther and Lady Panther Basketball Teams will be hosting Mumford this (Tuesday) evening in District 26-2A action.

For the Lady Panthers, it is the final night of the regular season. They come into the game tied with Iola for third place. Meanwhile, Mumford is tied with Normangee for first place. The opening tipoff is scheduled 6:15pm at the Burton High School Gym.

DISTRICT 26-2A GIRLS STANDINGS:

1.) Mumford 8-1

3.) Iola (4-5)

3.) Burton (4-5)

5.) Snook (3-6)

6.) Somerville (0-9)

On the Boys side, the Panthers are in a three way tie with Snook and Iola for the final playoff spot. Mumford is currently holding on to the top spot in the district. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 7:30pm. After tonight (Tuesday), the boys will have only two games left in their regular season.

Mumford, Somerville, and Normangee have clinched playoff spots. Over the final three games, it is down to Burton, Iola, and Snook for the last playoff spot.
