BRENHAM POLICE ARREST DRIVER CAUGHT GOING OVER 100 MPH, WEAVING THROUGH TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAY 290

A vehicle traveling over 100 miles per hour on Highway 290 led to an arrest by Brenham police Tuesday morning.
Just before 7:15 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Highway 290 West regarding a report of a reckless driver. The report stated that the vehicle was weaving in and out of heavily congested traffic at high speeds.
Corporal Tina Bruno observed the reported reckless vehicle traveling in what the police department called “an erratic behavior in a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.”
After initiating a traffic stop, police arrested the driver, 24-year-old Jesse Daniel Hernandez of Austin. Hernandez was booked in at the Washington County Jail for Reckless Driving.
