BURLESON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WARNING OF NEW PHONE SCAM
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of yet another phone scam going on around the area. This one involves Student Loan Forgiveness.
The caller will tell you that your student loans will be forgiven and request your personal information.
The Sheriff’s Office said to always keep your personal information private and never give this information out to someone who requests it over the phone in exchange for loan forgiveness, or other benefits.
They also advise to please let your family members know about this scam so they are aware, and do not fall prey to it.
