CUB TRACK SEASON ENDS AT REGIONAL MEET IN HUMBLE

The High School Track Season came to an end for the Brenham Cubs at the Regional Meet in Humble this past Saturday.

Jaylon Ward finished in eighth place in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 10.98 seconds. Ward would also finish in seventh place in 200 Meter Dash with a time of 21.97 seconds.

Caleb Espinoza finished 15th in the Discus with a throw of 123 feet.

None of the District 21-5A boys representatives advanced from Regionals to State.

However, on the girls' side, District 21-5A will be well represented.

In the 800 Meter Run, Hailey Johnson of Lake Creek was the winner, while Hayden Helms from A&M Consolidated finished in second place.

Delaney Ulrich of College Station finished second in both the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter Run.

Layni Kaase of College Station placed second in the 100 Meter Hurdles, the 300 Meter Hurdles, the High Jump, and the Triple Jump.

Rudder finished second in the 4x100 Meter Relay, and won the 4x200 Meter Relay. Meanwhile, Lake Creek finished second in the 4x400 Meter Relay.

Ella Hawryluk of College Station won the Pole Vault.
