CUBS SEASON ENDS WITH 8-1 LOSS TO LAKE CREEK

The Lake Creek Lions spoiled Seniors Night for the Brenham Cubs by handing them an 8-1 loss at Fireman's Park on Friday night.

Brenham got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning. Landry Mendoza was hit by a pitch, and later came around to score on an RBI single by Phillip Diehl. That put the Cubs up 1-0.

It was all Lake Creek from there.

The Lions scored once in the top of the third, twice in the fifth, and five times in the sixth to get the win.

For the Cubs, it was the final night for seniors Tanner Reese, Phillip Diehl, Preston Lee, and Brayden Goss.
