BRENHAM POLICE MAKE SUNDAY ARRESTS

  

A Brenham man was arrested early Sunday, charged with Public Intoxication.

Brenham Police report that early Sunday morning at 12:40, Officers responded to the 400 block of Highway West in reference to a verbal disturbance. Upon further investigation, Dustin Randall Thompson, 41 of Brenham, was heavily intoxicated in public and a danger to himself or others. Thompson was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County jail where he was booked in for Public Intoxication.

Also Sunday night at 10:20, Officer Garrett Downs initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Day Street for a moving violation. The driver, Kristal Ortega, 20 of Brenham, was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Theft of Property between $100 and $750 issued by Washington County Justice of the Peace Pct. 1. The warrant was issued based on facts discovered through a Brenham Police Department investigation involving a theft of merchandise from a business, located in the 200 block of Highway 290 West in Brenham, that occurred in October of last year.  She was transported to the Washington County jail.
