In an update shared this (Friday) morning, the city said street crews have been working since Wednesday to pick up brush and yard waste from the storm last week.

By tomorrow (Saturday) evening, the city expects to have the majority of the north side of town complete.  Collection will continue after the Memorial Day holiday.

Citizens are asked to place their vegetation debris on the curb.  Limbs, tree trunks and branches should be cut up in lengths of 6 feet or smaller.  Residents do not need to call the city for service.

Those who would prefer not to wait can take their debris to the Collection Station at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road for the standard rates.  The facility will be closed on Memorial Day.

The City of Brenham thanks the public for its patience.

  1. Your map and report is not accurate. I still see piles in the area that you claim is completed.

  2. I’m in the green. Pile of brush still in my yard by the curb. City has not picked up. What should I do?
