LADY PANTHERS DEFEAT CALDWELL IN FIVE SETS ON TUESDAY NIGHT

The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team picked up an exciting 3-2 non-district victory over the Caldwell Lady Hornets on Tuesday night.

Burton won the first set 25-17, Caldwell won the second set 27-25, Burton won the third set 25-12, Caldwell won the fourth set 27-25, and Burton won the fifth set 18-16 to take the match.

Lexi and Laci Broesche both came up big for the Lady Panthers with each posting double-doubles. Lexi finished tied for the team lead with 16 kills, and led the team with 21 digs. Laci added 23 assists and 13 digs.

Offensively, Kinsey Lunbeck tied Lexi for the lead with 16 kills. Adison Harmel led Burton with 34 assists.

Defensively, Reagan Roemer had 15 digs and Kelsie Hohlt finished with 14 digs.

Next up, the Lady Panthers will host Normangee on Friday at the Burton High School Gym. The varsity plays first at 4pm.

    1. Sounds like the coach doesn’t remember what she did last year for the team to go that far in the playoffs. Sounds like favoritism going on to me
