Blinn College softball dropped a home twin bill to No. 12 Grayson College on Wednesday at the Blinn Softball Field at Hohlt Park in Brenham, Texas.

The Vikings swept the doubleheader 14-1 (five innings) and 13-1.

The Bucs fell to 2-6 overall.

In game one, Grayson surged out to a big lead early.

Blinn's lone run of the game came in the bottom of the first frame when freshman Annie Beckendorf looped an RBI single into right field to score sophomore Darian DeLeon.

The Bucs finished with two hits.

Freshman pitcher Brynn Gallamore started the game in the circle and absorbed the loss for Blinn.

The Bucs were unable to find their footing in game two despite playing the Vikings tough early.

After Grayson took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, Blinn answered in the home half of the inning when freshman Nevaeh Holmes drove in sophomore Kayden Harms with a sacrifice bunt.

The Vikings took the lead for good with a run in the third and tacked on a pair in the fourth before totaling nine runs in the sixth and seventh frames.

The Bucs ended the game with three hits.

The pitcher of record for Blinn was sophomore Paige Bunting, who went 5 2/3 innings in her fourth start of the season.

The Bucs continue their campaign with a road trip to 13th-ranked Trinity Valley Community College at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7.
