HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO EVENT COMING TO BRENHAM
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be bringing their 18th Annual Calf Scramble Progress Show to Brenham in just over two weeks.
The 2025 Calf Scramble Progress Show will be held Saturday, November 8th, thru Sunday, November 9th, at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
More than 370 Texas 4-H and FFA students will compete with fellow 2025 Calf Scramble Winners, who successfully caught a calf during the 2025 RODEOHOUSTON Calf Scramble, and received a $2,000 certificate to apply toward the purchase of a registered beef heifer or market steer to show at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The Calf Scramble Show includes a scramble heifer show and a scramble steer show, followed by a showmanship competition.
Participants will be joined by Calf Scramble donors, agricultural science teachers, and county extension agents.
The cattle and exhibitors are scheduled to start arriving at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, November 8, at 10am.
They will do the check-ins for the heifers and steers from 10am-3pm, and the weigh-in for the steers from 1-3pm.
They are then going to hold Educational Cattle seminars at 4pm.
On Sunday, the Steer and Heifer Shows begin at 9am, followed afterwards by the showmanship competition.
