BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO VOTE ON TEA GRANTS

  

The Brenham School Board will take up the acceptance of grant funding at its meeting on Monday.

Trustees will consider accepting a Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) Cycle 4 Leadership & Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) Grant, as well as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Add-on Grant, through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).   

The LASO program combines grants, allotments and in-kind supports to accelerate academic gains.  The PLC grant is designed to enhance implementation support for schools participating in the LIFT program.

Additionally, the board will look at the possible approval of E-rate Category 2 internal connections, relating to the district’s broadband infrastructure.

The board will meet Monday at noon in the Brenham ISD Administration Office.  The meeting will be livestreamed on Brenham ISD’s YouTube channel.
