12 SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Twelve people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.

50-year-old Timmie Alvarado Jr. of Cameron, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 16 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first degree felony, and Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact, a second degree felony.  Alvarado will have to register as a sex offender upon completion of his sentence. 

49-year-old Charles Ray Spinks Jr. of Hempstead, sentenced to 15 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony.  Spinks was also sentenced to 2 years in state jail for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a state jail felony. 

47-year-old Cesar Ramirez-Olea of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, in a Drug Free Zone, a third degree felony.  Additionally, Ramirez-Olea was sentenced to 153 days in the Washington County Jail for Criminal Mischief Damage/Destroy Place of Worship/School and Burglary of a Building, both state jail felonies.  He was also ordered to pay $9,200 in restitution and is subject to a detainer from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

59-year-old Angel Miguel Mesa of Houston, sentenced to 12 months in state jail on both of two counts of Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, both state jail felonies.  Mesa is subject to a detainer from ICE. 

45-year-old Chavez Deandre Macintyre of Caldwell, sentenced to 80 days in the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, and Money Laundering $2,500 - $30,000, both state jail felonies.

24-year-old Tavius Davon Clark of Brenham, sentenced to 10 years’ probation for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a third degree felony.  Clark must also pay a $500 fine and a $100 family violence fee to a shelter, perform 100 hours of community service, maintain no contact with the victim in the case and complete a batterers intervention program.  The court affirmed a family violence finding.

38-year-old Catarino Zamora-Esquivel of Brenham, sentenced to 8 years’ probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony.  Zamora-Esquivel must also pay a $1,000 fine, a $100 family violence fee to a shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee.  He will also have to complete a batterers intervention program.  The court affirmed a family violence finding.

45-year-old Christopher Paul Holder of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. Holder was also ordered to pay a $100 family violence fee to a shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee, as well as complete a batterers intervention program.  The court affirmed a family violence finding.

25-year-old Brennon Jackie Taylor of Buna, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a third degree felony.  Taylor will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, in addition to performing 150 hours of community service. 

39-year-old Jose Santos Guzman of San Antonio, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.  Guzman must also pay a $500 fine, a $180 lab fee and $50 crime stoppers fee.  He will also have to perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.

48-year-old Jonathan Keith Junek of Somerville, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.  Junek will also have to pay a $500 fine, a $180 lab fee and a $50 crime stoppers fee.  Additionally, he must perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program. 

36-year-old Kayla Mulanax of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, a Class A misdemeanor.  Mulanax was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and a $100 family violence fee to a shelter, complete a batterers intervention program and undergo a 16-hour parenting program.  The court affirmed a family violence finding.
