“MAIFEST FROM THE VAULT” ON DISPLAY AT THE BARNHILL CENTER

Maifest costumes and artifacts from over 80 years ago are on display for the next week, thanks to the Brenham Heritage Museum.

The exhibit, “Maifest from the Vault”, is on display at The Barnhill Center in the historic Simon Theater in Brenham Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00 ‘til 5:00 each day through May 8th.  Doug Price, Director of the Brenham Heritage Museum, says some of the items on display haven’t been seen publicly in 80 years, and some have never been displayed. Price says the collection includes the 1948 Trane of Francis Navratil Brethauer and the 1939 mantel of Arthur Geick.  Price says the Eickenhorst family has loaned the museum pieces of a 1930 Maifest float that are being displayed for the very first time.

“Maifest from the Vault” is on display in the Hasskarl Auditorium of The Barnhill Center in downtown Brenham.
