GIDDINGS, BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE WEEKEND AGGRAVATED ROBBERIES

  

Brenham police are assisting the Giddings Police Department in its investigation of a pair of weekend robberies at two convenience stores.

According to Giddings police, the robberies occurred early Saturday morning between 12:30 and 12:45 a.m. at the Rattlers and CEFCO stores on Highway 290 East.  Police say the robberies took place about six minutes apart.

Brenham police are investigating a robbery of their own from early Saturday morning, just moments after midnight.  Brenham police were called to a store in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street, where they reported a black male, wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants, demanded money at gunpoint and fled the scene.

Surveillance footage taken from the stores in Giddings shows the suspect in question to be nearly identical to the one described by Brenham police.  No one was injured in the incidents.
