SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AFTER HIGH SPEED CHASE IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies made one arrest following a high-speed chase Wednesday.

Flatonia Police officers were called to Amigo’s Gas Station for a disturbance and found that the suspects fled on FM 609 traveling Northbound.

Fayette County authorities located the vehicle on FM 609 and attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued to flee at a high rate of speed. Officials determined that the vehicle took the Hostyn cutoff and traveled northbound on Highway 77.

Fayette County Sheriff Deputy Richard Bohlmann observed the vehicle turn into a driveway in the 3500 block of Highway 77, where he apprehended the vehicle’s inhabitants.

29-year-old Lazaro-Enrique Nunez Leyva of Cuba was charged with evading arrest/detention with a vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was detained for investigation but was later released.
