Navasota High School will honor its graduating class of 2020 with several graduation ceremonies this weekend, the first of which is being held tonight (Thursday).

The school is holding four graduation ceremonies for students and their families—all at Rattler Stadium—in order to allow for better social distancing between family groups.  Each ceremony will be limited to 44 participants.

Tonight’s ceremony will be held at 8 p.m.  Another ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow (Friday), followed by two more ceremonies Saturday at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.  The ceremonies will be streamed live on the Navasota High School Facebook page.

Leading the class of 2020 are Valedictorian Keith Steptoe and Salutatorian Mark “Weston” Finke.

All graduates and guests must wear a mask and arrive with the health questionnaire given to them in their graduation packets Monday.  Tickets are required for all guests, regardless of age.

Contingency plans are in place if weather interferes with the ceremonies.
