Press release from Brenham ISD below:

It was an emotional weekend for Brenham ISD’s MCJROTC students as they faced a tough national competition competing against the top high schools in the nation. The Brenham High School students were precise and in sync as they showed the nation that their countless hours of practice and dedication would not go unnoticed. The competition was not easy as they were judged for every move and presentation, but their sharpness stood out against the rest. After the announcement of their win, wearing the medals, Brenham cadets had tears of joy and showed their energy as they celebrated with a chant. Below are the results from the MCJROTC Nationals in St. Louis, Missouri. The coed program sent a total of 37 cadets to nationals, 14 of them being seniors.

“I couldn't have asked for these young men and women to do any more than they did...this was their year because they made it their goal from the beginning,” said Captain Jeffrey Bayse. “They all learned a valuable life lesson- that anything is achievable when you put your heart into it and dedicate yourself to the goal.”

The cadets placed in the top 3 of all events and placed no less than 2nd in five of the six events losing only 76 points total out of a maximum total of 6000 points and beating the next best team by over 350 points.
