DUSTIN MAJEWSKI TO BE INDUCTED INTO TEXAS LONGHORN ATHLETICS HALL OF HONOR

A Brenham native is among those announced earlier today that will be inducted into the Texas Longhorn Athletics Hall of Honor.
Dustin Majewski, who is a graduate of Brenham High School, played for Blinn College, and then went to the Longhorns, will be one of 11 new inductees.
He played for the Longhorn Baseball Team during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
While at Texas, he earned many honors including being a two-time All American, a two-time MVP of the Big 12 Tournament and the NCAA Austin Regional, he made the College World Series All Tournament Team the year they won the National Championship in 2002, and was the MVP of the 2003 team that finished third in the nation.
Majewski will be part of the 68th Men's Hall of Honor Class. He is being inducted along with Kevin Durant (basketball), Sam Acho (football), Jonny Levine (tennis), Kirk Stackle (swimming and diving), and Ovie Dotson (basketball).
They are also going to induct the 23rd Women's Hall of Honor Class. Inductees for that class include B.J. Bedford (swimming and diving), Lindsey Gardner (softball), Kate Golden (golf), Robyne Johnson (track and field), and Anne Grousbeck Matta (tennis).
The Texas Longhorn Athletics Hall of Honor ceremony will be Friday, September 16, at 7pm at the LBJ Auditorium and Conference Center. Tickets are available at $25 each.
The Hall of Honor inductees are going to receive a "Special Salute" during the Longhorn Football game against UT-San Antonio on Saturday, September 17.
