CHOPPER, HANSEN, PETER NAMED PETS OF THE WEEK; CLEAR THE SHELTERS SATURDAY

This week’s Pets of the Week at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center are Chopper, Hansen and Peter.

Chopper is an adult Labrador mix who got his name because he was found by a flight nurse at the Washington County EMS helipad last fall.  He was in rough shape at the time, but is doing great now and is ready for a new home.

Hansen is an adult cattle dog mix who, like Chopper, had some medical issues to overcome before going up for adoption.  He is looking for a permanent spot to spend the rest of his senior years.

Peter is an adult lab mix, although he has a smaller frame than the average lab.  Brenham Animal Services says he would make an all-around great family dog.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center’s Clear the Shelters event is this Saturday.  All adoption fees will be waived, and there will be vendor booths and giveaways.

The adoption center’s full list of available pets can be seen online at www.petfinder.com.  Appointments to meet a pet can be set up by calling 979-337-7351 or visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.

  1. Our animal shelters do an amazing job on rehabilitation of these future pets. Please check out the web page for here or those nearby and adopt a pet if you have room for one and can afford care. Best offense is a good defense and a dog will let you know quick when you have an intruder.
