BELLVILLE LIONS CLUB CHOOSES ITS 2022 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

The Bellville Lions Club has chosen Bellville Economic Development Corporation President Paul Jones as its 2022 Citizen of the Year.
Jones, who is a 33-year member of the Lions Club, received the award during their annual Christmas Party last week.
Lions Club President Bruce White presented him with the award.
Jones recently completed 12 years with the Bellville Economic Development Corporation, which includes the past 18 months as its president.
During his time with the EDC, Jones has been involved in numerous projects. This includes supporting the Bellville Chamber of Commerce, providing grants to upgrade retail and restaurant space, upgrading the sidewalks around the Austin County Courthouse square, as well as the restoration of the Turnverein and the Jail Museum.
Jones also serves on the board of directors for the Bellville Hospital District and the Bellville Medical Center.
