SUMMER SIP & ART WALK DRAWS BIG CROWDS TO DOWNTOWN BRENHAM

  

Downtown Brenham was filled to the brim on Saturday with residents and visitors alike for the annual Summer Sip & Art Walk.

Visitors strolled through dozens of local shops to try refreshing summer drinks like dessert palomas, Lynchburg lemonade, Melon Mint Moscato, Campari cocktails, sangrias and margaritas.  They were also able to view various pieces of artwork including acrylic paintings, jewelry, soap art demonstrations, watercolor, woodworking, abstract art, beer can art and quilting.

Event organizers say all 500 glasses for the event were sold out.  Around 40 businesses participated.

Proceeds from the event support the Main Street Brenham program for downtown improvement projects. 

Sponsors for the Summer Sip & Art Walk were Da Vinci sponsor Deep in the Heart Farms, Van Gogh sponsors Hermann Furniture and Dream Dental, and Picasso sponsors Appel Ford, Boss Lady Office Leasing and J&A Roofing.
