BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE CALLS ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on New Year’s Eve. 

The first call came in shortly after 10am.  Firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm on the 1700 Block of East Stone Street. Upon arrival, they discovered it to be an alarm malfunction, and returned to service.

The second call came in just after 11am on West Blue Bell Road.  There was a reported traffic crash with fluid possibly leaking.  BFD arrived and found no fluids leaking.  They stayed on scene until it could be cleared safely.

The final call came in at 11:40pm for a fire investigation at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road. After checking the scene, it was determined that what the caller saw was controlled burn that was occurring out in the county.
