CUBS UPSET MAGNOLIA ON THE ROAD 2-1

The Brenham Cub Baseball Team rallied to defeat the Magnolia Bulldogs 2-1 tonight (Friday).

Magnolia got the early lead with a run in the bottom of the third.

It would stay that way until the top of the fifth. Barrett Kohring drew a one-out walk, Caleb Maurer singled, and Brady Rau was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Landry Mendoza then came through with a big two-run double to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead.

That lead would hold up for the rest of the game behind great pitching from Brody Hemann and Brayden Goss.

Next up, the Cubs will travel to Lake Creek on Tuesday night. First pitch is at 7pm (6:30pm pregame on KWHI).
