CUB COMPANY ADVANCING TO NATIONALS

High school theatre arts students from across the state competed this past weekend at the Texas Thespians State Festival in Corpus Christi.

Six duet groups from Brenham qualified for national competition.  The 12 students will head to Indiana University Bloomington for the International Thespian Festival, set for June 22-27, 2025.

High School Theatre Director Kara Freeman says Cub Company achieved a perfect score for the first time in history, with Kyle Freeman and Michaela Millard in Duet Musical.

Other students performing in Duet Musical were Jake Knowles and Logan Rivas, Elizabeth Shelton and Noble Pharaon, and Laura Beth Bodensteiner and Sophia Dubowik. 

Performing in Duet Acting were Sadie Royer and Rilley Mantey, and Cheney Piechota and Audra Preuss. 

Kendra Patch is the Assistant Director and Rylie Patrick is the Junior High Director.
