BLINN NAMES 2,368 STUDENTS TO FALL 2024 CHANCELLOR’S & DEANS’ SCHOLARS LISTS
The Blinn College District has recognized 2,368 students for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2024 semester.
Blinn named 1,146 students to its prestigious Chancellor’s Scholars List and 1,222 to the Deans’ Scholars List. To qualify as a Chancellor’s Scholar, students must earn a minimum 3.75 GPA, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses. Deans’ scholars must attain a 3.25 GPA, complete at least 12 credit hours, and pass all their courses.
“These honors not only reflect the students’ hard work and determination, but also set the foundation for future achievements,” said Dr. Marcelo Bussiki, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. “We look forward to seeing how they continue to excel in their academic and professional endeavors.”
The honorees represent a diverse array of students from across Texas, the United States, and the world. Students hailed from 20 U.S. states, including Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
Blinn also celebrated international students on its honors lists, with honorees coming from Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Honduras, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Montenegro, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
