MEMORIAL FUND CREATED FOR NAVASOTA POLICE SGT. MARK BUTLER

  

A memorial fund has been established for Navasota Police Sergeant Mark Butler, who was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday.

The City of Navasota has created the Mark Butler Memorial Fund in conjunction with Citizens State Bank.  The fund will provide financial support to Sgt. Butler’s family. 

Navasota Mayor Bert Miller said, “Our hearts are with the Butler family, his friends, and the entire Navasota community as we mourn this tremendous loss.  We are committed to supporting his family through this fund and encourage the community to join us in honoring his memory.”

Donations can be made by check or cash at Citizens State Bank branches in Navasota, Brenham, Burton, Somerville, Caldwell, Snook and Deanville.  Checks may also be mailed to the City of Navasota at P.O. Box 910, Navasota TX 77868.  Checks should be made payable to the Mark Butler Memorial Fund.
