WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO HOLD WORKSHOP ON BROADBAND

Washington County Commissioners are scheduled to discuss broadband during a workshop at their next meeting on Tuesday.

The court will talk about broadband planning committees and Breaking Point Solutions software.

According to the company’s website, Breaking Point Solutions partners with communities looking to improve broadband access and equality.  The Minnesota-based company says it delivers approaches to broadband planning to ensure that unserved and underserved communities are not left behind.

In regular session, commissioners will receive the Washington County Expo’s quarterly report and vote on renewing a child welfare services non-financial agreement between the county and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Commissioners will also act on appointing Sherry Frank as a new member of the Washington County Historical Commission and read a proclamation in honor of Reverend John D. Harris and Sister Helen Harris for their 25th anniversary of service at Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
