BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED FOR RESIDENTS ON GUN & ROD ROAD
Update @ 11 a.m. Monday: The City of Brenham has rescinded the boil water notice for residents on Gun and Rod Road. The city on Saturday said the public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.
Original Story @ 9:25 a.m. Friday: The City of Brenham has issued a boil water notice for residents on Gun and Rod Road, from Stone Street to Basin Trail and Creekwood Lane.
The city says the notice is due to water system pressure going below 20 PSI. City staff has repaired the affected areas.
Customers in the region should boil their water before use or consumption, or they may choose to purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source.
Water should be brought to a roiling boil for two minutes to ensure the destruction of any harmful bacteria or microbes. Children, seniors and anyone with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
Once the boiling of water is no longer necessary, the city will send out notice that the water is safe for regular consumption.
Anyone with questions can contact Water and Wastewater Superintendent Joshua Daniels at 979-337-7438 or Jodaniels@cityofbrenham.org.
Could be because of the pipe installation going on. That the city did not inform the residence of. Once again poor communication.
Who is running this city? we need new leadership in most department.
Glad I looked at KWHI are I would not have known about this. Great JOB city ????????????????????????
