The donation directly supports classroom innovation and provides new opportunities for students to learn and grow.  This year’s donation will fund classroom mini-grants for items like technology, books, online resources, physical education equipment and band instruments.

The Burton Education Foundation was established to enhance educational opportunities for all students and partners with the district to fund programs, projects and enrichment opportunities beyond what traditional school budgets provide.

Superintendent Vikki Curry said, “I am truly grateful for the Burton Education Foundation’s steadfast commitment to our district.  Their generosity directly enriches our classrooms, expands opportunities for students, and empowers teachers to provide dynamic and engaging learning experiences.  With their support, we are continuing to build a bright future for all Burton Panthers.”

For anyone interested in supporting the Burton Education Foundation, the organization will be one of several from Washington County that are participating in the upcoming Brazos Valley Gives fundraiser on October 21st.  Early giving is open at www.brazosvalleygives.org
