LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL CRUSHES SOMERVILLE IN DISTRICT 26-2A GAME

After a three-game road trip, the Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team returned home in convincing fashion with a 60-13 win over the Somerville Lady Yeguas on Friday night at the Burton High School Gym.

Burton dominated all four quarters of the game. They outscored Somerville 12-2 in the first, 17-6 in the second, 20-0 in the third, and 11-5 in the fourth.

Lexi Broesche led the way with 20 points, three rebounds, six steals, two assists, and a blocked shot.

Mya Rodriguez finished with 12 points, four rebounds, seven steals, and two assists.

Harper Hodde chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, four steals, and four assists.

The win improves Burton to 20-5 on the season, and 5-1 in District.

The Lady Panthers have a bye on Tuesday night. They will return to the court on Friday at home against Snook. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 6:15pm.
