BRENHAM & BURTON ISDs TO REMAIN CLOSED ON TUESDAY

  

Brenham and Burton ISDs will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday) as the area continues to experience freezing temperatures. 

Brenham ISD says their decision comes after continued coordination with emergency management partners and careful monitoring of road conditions across the district.  It says roads within the city are improving, but conditions can vary significantly on rural and county roads outside of city limits.

Burton ISD says icy road conditions are ongoing, and with anticipated refreezing overnight, it does not expect a delayed start would significantly improve travel safety.  All extracurricular activities are also cancelled.

Both districts expect a return to normal operations on Wednesday.
