WASHINGTON CO. FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE EARLY-MORNING BARN FIRE MONDAY

  

Washington County firefighters responded early Monday morning to a barn fire.

Shortly after 5:30 a.m., members of the Brenham Fire Department and the Meyersville and Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to Highway 105 and Wiesepape Road for a report of a structure fire.

Units arrived on location to find a small barn fully involved. 

The departments extinguished the fire, overhauled the barn and made sure all hot spots were put out before returning to service. 

The barn was deemed a total loss.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
