Last month, the commission tabled a request for a Planned Development District for 5.73 acres at 708 Seelhorst Street, where Jeremy and Chelsea Bowie of Chelsea Build LLC wish to build 32 single-family residential units as part of a development called “The Cottages Downtown”.  The development would also incorporate several community amenities and provide right-of-way dedication for the widening of Seelhorst Street.

Following feedback from nearby property owners, the applicants have agreed to revise their plans to incorporate screening fence along the west property line and to add four more parking spaces on the east side of the property, bringing the total parking to 64 off-street spaces for 32 units.  The city is also requesting that the exterior facades of houses within each cluster maintain variety, not using the same materials in a cluster group.

Also at tomorrow’s meeting, commissioners will take up a commercial replat for Blinn College-owned land located south of Old Mill Creek Road, east of Oak Tree Crossing Drive and north of Robert C. Appel Drive.  The replat would combine tracts totaling 79.56 acres and is for the purpose of future development.

The commission will also act on a residential replat request from Clayton and Kellie Collier regarding a 5.69 acre lot addressed as 1402 West Jefferson Street.  The replat will allow the applicants to proceed with the third phase of the Wilkins Valley subdivision, adding another 28 lots.

City staff recommends approval of all three items.

The commission will meet tomorrow at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
