A&M STUDENT DIES AFTER DRINKING CYANIDE

The Texas A&M student that intentionally ingested sodium cyanide has died.

20 year old Christian Amadeus Taylor, a biochemistry major, died at St. Joseph Regional Health Center at 12:40 Friday afternoon.

It has not been determined why Taylor drank the sodium cyanide. Sodium cyanide releases hydrogen cyanide gas, which interferes with the body’s ability to use oxygen and exposure can be deadly.

Texas A&M officials did not issue a Code Maroon because, they say, there was no imminent danger. The scene was secure, and everyone was kept at a safe distance.
