APPLE ANNOUNCES $1-BILLION AUSTIN FACILITY

Apple has announced plans for a $1 billion facility expansion in Austin.

The tech giant, which is based in Cupertino, California, says the new campus in Austin will start with 5,000 employees.  Austin is already home to more than 6,000 Apple employees, representing the largest population of its workers outside of its headquarters.

The company released a statement early this morning (Thursday) saying it plans also include establishing sites in Seattle, San Diego and Culver City, California, with more than 1,000 employees at each of those locations.

  1. Good to see that this money is being invested in the USA. Under Obama all of this money would be invested in China. Finally we have a president to be proud of!
