Chappell Hill Historical Society President John Durrenberger says the volunteers have worked hard over the past few months to prepare for this year’s festival.

In addition to the arts & crafts vendors, the festival will also feature live music, plenty of children’s activities and of course, the Scarecrows all throughout the town.

Saturday’s entertainment will include: Abigail Taylor from Brenham, Julie Hatfield from Navasota, the Cloggers and the Providence Iron Works Band on the Chappell Hill Bank Stage.  Jai Rodriguez, Jim Mazurkiewicz and Polksa Kopela and Austin to Ashes will play the stage at the Poplar Street Lot.

Sunday will have Abigail Taylor and the Providence Iron Works Band back on the Chappell Hill Bank Stage.  The Poplar Street Lot will have the Cypress Street Ramblers and the Blue Grooves Band.

Joel Romo of the Historical Society says the festival really brings out the best in the season…

The festival will be open Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00.

Durrenberger says there will be plenty of parking and visitors are also encouraged to stop by information booths which will be set up at each end of Main Street with volunteers providing maps of the town and able to assist with questions about the festival.
