DEADLINE MONDAY FOR ‘SPRING EGGS ART WALK’
Monday is the deadline to register for Main Street Brenham’s annual “Spring Eggs Art Walk.”
The contest features adult and student categories for decorated giant eggs, which will be placed throughout downtown.
Completed entry forms are due Monday, and can be picked up at participating sponsor locations, and are also available at www.downtownbrenham.com/springeggs.
$1,200 in cash prizes will be awarded, including $200 for the grand prize from Kieke Egg Farm. Cash prizes of $125 will also be awarded for most creative, most votes, judges’ choice, and best Easter theme.

Participants can pick up wooden egg cut-outs from March 1-5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Brenham City Hall. Finished eggs should be delivered to the designated display location on Friday, March 19th by 5 p.m. Voting will take place from March 20th to April 3rd, with ballots available at participating sponsor locations and online. Winners will be announced on April 7th.
Completed eggs will also be up for auction during the “Spring Eggs Art Walk.” Anyone can bid on an egg via a link provided on the website. Auction proceeds from each egg will be split 50/50 between the egg artist and Main Street Brenham. Auction proceed money will be presented in addition to any prize money an entry has won.
Other prize sponsors are Brown Water Cigar Bar, Hermann Furniture, The Pomegranate/Funky Art Café, Pioneer Smokehouse and Mercantile, Brenham City Councilmember Susan Cantey, The Canyon Chick, Las Americas Latin Cuisine, and Must Be Heaven.
