FORMER KBTX NEWSMAN JOE BROWN DIES AT 56
Former KBTX TV-3 anchor Joe Brown died Friday after a 10-month battle with cancer.
Brown, a native of Madisonville, joined KBTX briefly in 1989 as a reporter, but left a year later. He returned as a news anchor from 2001 to 2010, anchoring over 4,000 newxcasts.
After KBTX, Brown served as public relations and marketing director for the former College Station Medical Center.
In 2008, Brown married Brenham-native Lisa Cangelosi.
A memorial service for Joe Brown will be held next Saturday (12/14) at 11 a.m. at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Brown was 56.
