FRIEDEN’S CHURCH OF WASHINGTON DONATES TO BREAD PARTNERS

Frieden’s Church of Washington is celebrating their 125th anniversary by making monthly donations to the Brenham Bread Partners.

Starting in January of this year, Friedens is making monthly donations instead of the usual quarterly donations, with a recent donation of cereal to the Bread Partners.

The February goal of 125 units of cereal was exceed, as was the January 125 pound flour donation.

Thresia O Schlabach made the delivery to the Bread partners.

Collection of rice for March is already underway.

Pastor Greg Felder announced the 125 counts or pounds monthly connection that will continue through December.

"This way we share our joy and blessings with others!".

Washington County Farm Bureau continued their recognition of the statewide Food Connection Week event with a donation of $204.55 to Bread Partners.

This amount is a match for the amount the County paid for a basket of groceries of a lucky shopper at Brookshire Brothers Groceries – Brenham last week.   Director Linda Oberhoff made the presentation to: T K Condron, Wayne Brown, Bracy Bledsoe, Jack Newton.

This is an annual event the county has participated in for over a decade.
