JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION SATURDAY AT FIREMAN’S PARK

  

Washington County will celebrate Juneteenth this weekend.

The Washington County Historical Juneteenth Association (WCHJA) will host the celebration tomorrow (Saturday) at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.

This year’s festivities will not include a parade through downtown Brenham, nor will they feature royalty.  In planning for this year’s event, the board members of the WCHJA took into consideration the health and safety of the community at large.

Activities will begin at 11 a.m. with entertainment from DJ Robert Carter, followed by the Brown Sugar Band.  Various vendors will be on site.  2021 Juneteenth t-shirts and souvenir booklets will also be sold during the event.
