NINE PERSONS SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Nine people plead guilty and were sentenced in District court Thursday.

Patrick Darnell Bennett Jr. age 22 of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 5 years in State penitentiary , a $2000 fine and court costs for a 2011 possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver case.  He also had his probation revoked  and was sentenced to 18 months in State jail, court and appointed attorney costs for another 2011 possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver case.

24 year old Starshine Guffee of Caldwell had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 4 years in State penitentiary, a $2000 fine, and court and attorney costs for a 2013 tampering with physical evidence case.  She also had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 15 months in State jail and attorney fees for a 2013 possession of a controlled substance case.

Tyrone Keefe Francies age 53 of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 3 years in State penitentiary for a 2004 possession of a controlled substance conviction.

40 year old Bennie Dwayne Smith of Brenham was sentenced to 396 days in State jail for a 2010 theft case.

Halee Stark Balchtal age 37 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years probation, a $1500 fine, 200 hours of community service, drug treatment and testing for two possession of a controlled substance cases from 2010.

Virginia Ann Savidge age 40 of McKinney was sentenced to 5 years probation, a $1500 fine, 200 hours of community service, drug and alcohol treatment and education, 10 days in the Washington County Jail and 1 year suspension of drivers license for a 2013 driving while intoxicated third offence case.

Edward Dion Toliver Jr. age 19 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation, a $2000 fine, 500 hours community service, and drug education and testing for an aggravated robbery case from August of last year.  He was arrested by Brenham Police after a woman reported that a man had pointed a gun at her on Longwood Drive.  Police say Toliver had a BB gun that had been modified to look like a real hand gun. He was also sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation, a $2000 fine, 500 hours community service, and drug education and testing for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle case from last year.

38 year old Keith Eckermann of Brenham was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation, $1031 restitution, 100 hours community service, and court costs and attorney fees for a 2013 credit card abuse case.

Shannon Nicole Myles, age 25 of Brenham was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation, a $1000 fine, 120 hours of community service and drug treatment and testing for a 2013 possession of a controlled substance case.
