PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO HEAR ZONING CHANGE REQUEST

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will hear a request to change the zoning for two tracts of land at the intersection of Ewing and Rucker Streets in Brenham, near the intersection of Blue Bell Road and North Park during their meeting this evening (Monday).

Kolkhorst Investments LLC is requesting the zoning change in order to change the zoning from single-family residential to local business/residential mixed use.

According to the request filed with the city, the lots in the Washington Terrace Addition, would be developed for retail business use.  The two lots are adjoining land on which a new convenience store is being constructed.

City staff says the request conforms to the city’s zoning policies and is recommending the commission approve the request.

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission is meeting this evening (Monday) at 5:15pm in the second-floor council chambers at city hall on West Vulcan Street.
