RABIES ALERT IN BRENHAM
A Rabies Alert has been issued in Brenham.
Brenham Animal Control officers destroyed a skunk Monday afternoon at approximately 3:00 on Geney St.
The skunk was sent to the Department of State Health Services and tested positive for rabies.
Anyone who might have come in contact with the animal is asked to call Brenham Animal Control at 979-337-7592 or the Department of State Health Services Zoonosis Control at 254-778-6744.
Officials are also encouraging everyone to make sure their animals are current on their rabies vaccinations.
