SEARCH FOR NEW POLICE CHIEF DOWN TO FOUR CANDIDATES

  

The list of the finalist for Brenham Police Chief is down to four, and will continue to be narrowed down next week.

Originally, there were 80 persons applying for the top position in the Police Department, and is now down to the final four.  Assistant City Manager Rex Phelps, who recently left the position of police chief for his current position, hopes to have a final candidate by the middle of next week.

The candidates are being interviewed by Phelps, Brenham Fire Chief Ricky Boeker, interim police Chief Dant Lange, City human resource director Susan Nienstedt, and Bryan police Chief Eric Buske.
